Genki Sushi takes you to a techie Japanese dining experience

What’s for your weekend food crawl? Since we’re on a nearby area that day, we decided to visit Genki Sushi at the Bonifacio Stopover. A Japanese inspired restaurant with hi-tech form of ordering and I just want to share my experience about it.

Ella's experience:

My friend and I were introduced to the system as soon as we were given seats. The waiter will ask you if it's your first time in the restaurant. If yes, then they'll instruct you all the way! There's an  agreement type of form that you must agree first. It's the rules and regulation of the restaurant in an online form.

On our table, there's hot water for the tea and there's a green tea powder every table. We ordered fried chicken andOyako Don Set meal for each of us(with fried salmon skin for me and miso soup for my friend.) The first to arrive from our order is the Oyako Don bowl.

It didn't take long before the fried chicken arrived. Aside from that, I was expecting quite a different taste from the one that's on the Oyako Don bowl but it ended up like the same type of cooking. Still, i'm quite happy that the sauce it comes with is actually good.

I love how the salmon skin was fried. Among our orders, this additional item is my favorite. It's crispy but not oily at all. It's not even salty so it's super nice to munch on while you are having your lunch or an after meal snack together with the tea.

Ella's Recommendation:

1. If you are craving for something Japanese, I recommend this place because they have lots of choices in terms of Japanese dining experience. However, make sure that you have enough credits on your pocket. It's pricey.

2. Their partnered meals gives you a chance to try 2 dishes at a lower cost so it's a good deal. Be careful, you are allowed to keep ordering but try to limit yourself with a few orders first 'cause you might get overwhelmed with the number of your orders and your bill.

Any thoughts on this restaurant?
