The hype is on for Samgyupsalamat

Samgyupsalamat is just all over the place so I decided to finally try it and I have to agree that it deserves the bandwagon fame! Yep, I waited in line for about an hour and a half just to get inside.

Despite having only a few side dishes, this samgyupsal which claimed itself to fame extremely boomed in Manila this year even though it already existed in 2012. The catch? they only have about six side dishes but all comes in perfect shape and taste. However, you need a lot of patience to overcome the long waiting game!

Ella's experience

Ambiance
Just enough for about 15 groups at the same time, the place is well-ventilated and is not so hot though we all know that everyone grills. There are plenty of staffs to help us out but maybe because working the whole time is pretty tiring, some of our orders were missed out.

Adding on to the interiors, plus a part of the choices for the drinks is this green bottled highlights -- the soju! Yup, I often drink soju whenever I eat Samgyupsal because it helps in the digestion and helps burn the extreme fat intake.

Food

What I love the most about Samgyupsalamat is their charcoal grilled barbeque experience. It literally brings out the flavors that most of us would love to experience and that keeps everyone keep coming back to this Korean restaurant.

They literally gave us huge amount of serving maybe because it's already late at night and they know that lining up for hours deserve a feast on meat!

The side dishes
We were given four sauces-- the soy sauce, gochujang, ganjang and sesame oil.  Also, some of the side dishes include pickled radish and kimchi! What I love the most about this restaurant is that all their side dishes are really cooked and made into perfection.

Other side dishes include pickled onions, sweet potatoes and their latest add-ons, the Filipino style dip and cheese.

Lastly, they have lettuce and my favorite spring onion kimchi? i'm not particular with the exact name but has been a fave ever since I tried it.

  2. Of all the unli-samgyeopsal restaurants that we'd tried, I think Samgyupsalamat has the best meats. However, the queue is just so looooong. We waited 1 hour to get inside, some of my friends waited for 3-4 hours. If we can find a branch that isn't crowded, I'd be good.
