Best Korean Fried Chicken Places that you should try!

I love fried chicken! Who doesn't? I know we all do! If you do love fried chicken then I have to add that Korean fried chicken is better than our usual fast food favorites. Why? It's flavorful! Let me share you some of my favorite Fried Chicken brands that you can try when you are in Manila!

Note: In Korean culture, they love Chimaek (Chicken and Maekju *means beer*)

BBQ Chicken and Beer

I had the chance to try this during an event and I have to say that they have great flavors! Some of which are their Cheese and Honey Butter flavors! The ones I tried were the chicken pop types so there's no bones! I think they weren't that active on social media so it's the first time for me to try their brand but I've known before that it is a huge hit in Korea.

Gangnam Wings

Gangnam Wings, (check on my review about Gangnam Wings here) a Korean restaurant in SM Megamall has mastered the creation of their chicken flavors that I instantly fell in love with and since the first time I tried it. You must try their spicy chicken! (It's not too spicy so even those who can't really eat spicy food can try it). Aside from their chickens, they have Korean buffet, samgyupsals, and bodaejigae.

Oppa Chicken

I have tried this chicken restaurant quite a few times 'cause this is where my friends and I usually whenever we go to BGC. Yep, I already tried all the flavors and I have to say that you must try the Yangnyum, Snow Chicken and soy garlic.

While strolling in Ortigas, I saw this restaurant which says 'chicken and beer' so I tried it. Must try flavors are soy garlic and yangyeom chicken. I also love the idea that they give my favorite side dish and has buckets of beer that you can order! They do not have an active social media page but their chicken is must try!

24 Chicken

24 chicken (read my review on 24 chicken) is a delivery joint in Metro Manila currently with 2 branches. They have the best chicken delivery I tried so far. Since they maintain the quality of their food and service, they only allow nearby areas for their deliveries but you can also pick up your orders in their store! Must try flavors are Jack Daniels and Yangnyeom.

Remember the Lee Min Ho fan meeting brought by Kyochon? That's when I started trying their chicken and true enough, the taste has been brought from Korea going here to the Philippines. It's perfect with rice and/or beer!

There was once a hype for their cheese fondue and this claimed their fame for it. When we tried Kko Kko, they have this huge platter with onion rings, fries, cheese, bread and chicken which is my favorite on their menu! Moreover, they serve some banchan like Kimchi together with it! Soy garlic chicken is a must try!

Ella's Recommendations

1. I know there would be some who'll wonder which among these is my favorite. I can't exactly rank them because I love them all. Each of them has their own character and is perfect with other dishes from each restaurants menu so if you'll gonna ask me-- I could only say all.

2. Price range is usually between 200-600 pesos for 6 pcs but if you are trying it with other items, they usually go with meal sets. I prefer meal sets if you are eating with your family and friends.

3. Some of the photos were borrowed online as I didn't get to take photos of everything that I tried before. Nevertheless, I have been or have tried these joints numerous times already. :)

Let me know your thoughts about the ones on the list! Or you may also add your favorite joints by sharing it with us in the comment section.
